Part 5: Attitude
What does our attitude reveal about our hearts? Are we seeking recognition, position, and importance, or are we willing to humble ourselves and serve others?
In Part 5 of our Accept or Decline series, “Attitude,” we explore how Jesus challenges the world's definition of greatness. While the world encourages us to climb higher and seek positions of honor, Jesus teaches that true greatness is found in humility, service, and sacrifice.
Through His example of washing the disciples' feet and ultimately giving His life on the cross, Jesus shows us what it means to put others before ourselves. Following Him isn't about securing the best seat or receiving recognition. It's about having a heart willing to serve, even when it costs us something.
The question is: Are we seeking to be elevated, or are we willing to lower ourselves to lift others up?
As followers of Christ, we're called to reflect His attitude in everything we do—choosing humility over pride, service over status, and sacrifice over self-interest.
“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” — Philippians 2:5
